INSPIRE YOUR HEART WITH ART: Tufted Heart Valentine Box...

Today is Inspire Your Heart With Art day!  So, of course, I wanted to include a heart in today's project.  I have already shared a couple of cards with the Meant to Be bundle, so this time I chose a treat box.  I wanted to use our Mini Pizza Boxes as they are perfect to gift a cookie (food-safe interior), 4 tealight candles, delicious chocolates or some of your handmade 3x3 cards!  And I decided to keep the design very simple.

I started by coloring my Champagne Shimmer Mist with a few drops of Blushing Bride Reinker.  Then I spritzed it on the Mini Pizza Box in thin coats until covered to the desired effect and allowed it to dry.  It's hard to see the shade in the picture, but trust me, it is a beautiful shade of shimmery pinkness!  Don't be surprised if your pizza box curls up.  It will flatten out when dry.  If there is any curl remaining, just put it under some heavy books overnight and it will be fine.

For the top, I did a simple, but elegant heart.  If there was any stamping, this would be a #simplestamping project, but I couldn't bear to cover up this gorgeous tufted foil heart!

ON THE CASE FRIDAY: Romantic Valentine Card...

I don't CASE (Copy And Share Everything) too often, but when I saw the beautiful sample in the Occasions Catalog on page 7, I just had to make one!  It is just so pretty and romantic looking, due mostly to the new Lace Dynamic Embossing Folderm which I LOVE!  And I think both sides look equally lovely when embossed, so take your pick.

I wanted to make mine a Valentine card though, so I changed up the colors and a few elements, but kept the layout.  I used the new All My Love Ribbon Combo Pack for my color inspiration and paired Lovely Lipstick with Flirty Flamingo.  I also decided to challenge myself to use only one bundle to make this card, with no other stamps or framelits.  Although I know one bundle is all you need to make LOTS of great cards, I do tend to mix & match a lot.

Don't you love the heart border die?  It gives you lots of hearts to use in this project with plenty to spare for another one as well!  I am going to try this card again in another color, so stay tuned...
