STAMPIN' UP! CATALOG CHANGES & RETIRED LIST DATES ANNOUNCED...

Great things are happening at Stampin' Up!  Recently it was announced that there will be changes to the way that the catalogs run.  These changes are in direct response to consistent requests from demonstrators and customers.  We are thrilled about these changes, and are looking forward excitedly to June 1, 2012, when the new annual catalog goes live!

In a nutshell, starting June 1, 2012, Stampin' Up! will release one annual catalog, comparable to (but smaller than) the current Idea Book & Catalog, and two seasonal catalogs, comparable to (but larger than) the current mini catalogs.  Pretty simple, right?   Here are the details:

Annual Catalog

• The annual catalog will run from June 1, 2012 through May 31, 2013.
• The annual catalog will be reduced from over 240 pages to 208 pages.  Many of the seasonal collections will be moved into the seasonal catalogs to make room, and some products and product lines, including Décor Elements and Simply Adorned will be discontinued.

Seasonal Catalogs

• The Occasions, Summer, and Holiday Mini Catalogs will be replaced by two seasonal catalogs called the Holiday Catalog and the Spring Catalog.
  • The first Holiday Catalog will run from August 1, 2012 through the beginning of January, 2013
  • The first Spring Catalog will run from the beginning of January, 2013 through May 31, 2013.
• The seasonal catalogs will be larger in both size (8 1/2" x 11") and page count (about 40 pages) than the current mini catalogs.

Can you believe that the new catalog is only two months away?   And with new catalogs always come retiring products!  To help you prepare for the upcoming retired lists, here are the release dates:

• The Retired Stamp List will be released on April 15, 2012.  The retiring stamp sets will be available through May 31, 2012.

• The Retired Accessories/Décor Elements Lists will be released on April 25, 2012.  Retiring Accessories and Décor Elements will  be available WHILE SUPPLIES LAST ONLY, so be sure to place your orders early.

CAS FRIDAY, Triple Treat Birthday Card...

Today I have a CAS Birthday card to share with share with you.  The flower is the Triple Treat Flower Stamp from the Idea Book & Catalog.  For one more day, you can choose this as your FREE Sale-A-Bration gift with a $50 order through Saturday.  I love that you can stamp this image several times in different colors and use a punch to punch out each shape.  I color distressed each layer and separated each one with a Stampin' Dimensional for more depth.  Then I colored a Rhinestone Jewel with a Sharpie and attached it to the center of the flower.  So simple and quick!  Enjoy!

3x3 THURSDAY, Dazzling Butterfly Thanks...

Today I have some little thank you notes I've been making to include with my orders.  I had such fun with the little "dazzling" butterflies I used on my Dazzling Kindness Matters Card, so I wanted to use them again for my 3" x 3" cards.  I just love the jewel tones!  I played around with several different color combos and ended up liking these two the best.  Enjoy!

I embossed the images with Basic Black Craft and Clear Embossing Powder.  Then I colored them with markers and added Dazzling Details to the wings.  Here are some of the colors I tried out during the design process:

MORE EVERYDAY ENCHANTMENT, Fresh Peach Hello...

Today I have lots of Everyday Enchantment going on... I can't believe that Sale-A-Bration is almost over!  I will really miss the Everyday Enchantment Designer Series Paper!  It is one of my favorite DSP's ever.  Not to mention the yummy matching ribbon & brad pack!  At first, I had a hard time with it as it doesn't work in the same way that our other ribbon does.  But with lots of loops and curling the ends, I just love it!  I hope Stampin' Up! comes out with more skinny organdy ribbon in the future...

Today I have another Birthday card to share with you.  This time out I used the gorgeous Elementary Elegance stamp set.  It is one of the exclusive Sale-A-Bration products you can choose with EACH $50 product purchase you make with me through Saturday, March 31 ONLY.  I just love that it coordinates with one of our punches!  That way I could pop out the sentiment on Stampin' Dimensionals.

I wanted to keep this card fairly simple, so that the stamp set could be the focus.  I felt that the elegance of this set really called for the royal feeling of Concord Crush.  Embossing the images with Clear Stampin' Emboss Powder and Iridescent Ice Stampin' Emboss brought some shine to the project.  Click on the picture of the card to enlarge it and see the sparkle and the little pearl accents!  Again, I wanted to keep the design simpler, so instead of a bow, I just used pearls on the ribbon.  I thought about adding even more pearls to the ribbon, but I restrained myself!  LOL.  Enjoy!

As promised earlier this week, I have the other version of my Twitterpated Elegant Bird card to share.  I only made a few minor changes to step it up a bit.  I used a different pattern of the Twitterpated DSP and a different Twittepated Button.  I added a branch in the bird's beak from the Bird Punch.  And I included a birthday sentiment from the Bring On the Cake stamp set.  You can never have enough Birthday cards, right?  Hope you enjoy this version!
