HALLOWEEN HOOT DOUBLE FLAP CARD...
Countdown to Halloween Project #1 - 30 more projects to go!

Sorry I haven't been posting this week!  I have been hard at work all week on Halloween projects for today's Halloween Stamp Camp and for my Technique class (more on that later this weekend).  I didn't want to post any of them until I decided which ones I would be using or not.  But now I have plenty to share over the next week!  Hope you enjoy them.

I have decided to attempt to post 31 Halloween projects for you before Halloween arrives, so be on the lookout for my Countdown to Halloween projects. They won't be done in 31 consecutive days, but will hopefully total 31 before the holiday arrives.

The first one is a card that ultimately did not make the cut into the Stamp Camp.  Not that it wasn't worthy because I love it, but because it was more work than I felt we could fit into our already crowded schedule of events.  Dawn Griffith had posted this neat double flap template she had done with the Cold & Cuddly stamp set.  As soon as I saw it, I knew I had to use it to make a card for my Halloween Stamp Camp with the Halloween Hoot stamp set and I went to work.  Dawn later made her own version of her Double Flap Card with the same set, but that was after I had already come up with mine.  Here is my version:

Halloween Hoot Double Flap Card:
  • Stamps: Halloween Hoot
  • Paper: Basic Black, Whisper White, Pumpkin Pie, Perfect Plum, Old Olive, Cast-a-Spell DSP
  • Ink: Classic Basic Old Olive, Pumpkin Pie, Crushed Curry, Soft Suede, Perfect Plum
  • Accessories: Old Olive 1/4" Grosgrain Ribbon,  Punches: Ticket Corner

Main Cut Instructions for the Card:
Perfect Plum -- Cut at 4 1/4" x 5 1/2"
Cast-a-Spell DSP -- Cut at 4" x 5 1/4"
Basic Black (left flap) -- Cut at 3 1/4" x 4", scored @ 1/2" landscape position
Pumpkin Pie (right flap) -- Cut at 3 1/2" x 3", scored @ 1/2" landscape position

Adhere each flap's scored and folded ends between the Perfect Plum and DSP layers.  Stamp and embellish as desired.
